The zero-emission Collins Type A All-Electric School Bus offers an electric bus option for every school district with two models to choose from and room for up to 24 passengers. The narrow-body design continues the Collins legacy of providing easy vehicle maneuverability, large view-out windows, one-piece tubular roof bow, and more. Plus the all-electric powertrain offers up to 85% savings on operating and maintenance costs.
The Collins Type A Electric school bus uses commercially proven lithium-ion battery packs validated by millions of real-world miles to offer a range of 130 miles and a peak power rating of 180 kW or 241 horsepower. The clear frame rail space offers more cargo and body uses by placing battery packs between the frame rails and over-the-air software updates ensure new features and functionality are delivered seemlessly.
