Peterbilt Model 520EV
The Model 520EV is the low-cab forward solution that completes the Peterbilt lineup of electric vehicles. Along with the Model 579EV and 220EV, Peterbilt’s electric vehicles lead the industry with high performance and zero emissions.
The Model 520EV is ideal for commercial and residential refuse applications. Up to 1,100 residential trash bins can be picked up by the 520EV on a single charge. Taking advantage of the frequent stops and starts of typical refuse applications the 520EV generates electricity via regenerative braking. This technology transfers energy back into the battery packs to extend the operating range and reduce brake pad wear, providing energy efficiency with a smooth, quiet ride.
