Micro Bird D-Series Electric
The Micro Bird D-Series Electric commercial bus delivers zero-emissions performance, passenger comfort and durable construction for a wide range of shuttle and transit applications. Designed for public transit, tours, campuses and hospitals, it seats up to 21 passengers across multiple floor plans, with available ADA-compliant configurations to support accessible transportation.
Built on a Ford E-450 chassis, the D-Series Electric features a 100% battery-electric powertrain with Micro Bird’s exclusive 2-speed transmission and four driving modes to optimize performance and efficiency. With battery options of 140 kWh and 175 kWh, it offers a range of up to 200 miles per charge. Regenerative braking helps extend range, while Level 3 fast charging enables a full charge in as little as 1.5 hours. Vehicle-to-grid (V2G) capability allows it to return power to the grid when needed.
Engineered for reliability and lower operating costs, the D-Series Electric includes a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, advanced thermal management for all-weather performance and reduced maintenance requirements. Smart telematics with over-the-air updates enable real-time monitoring and diagnostics, helping maximize uptime and fleet efficiency.
