Micro Bird D-Series Propane Commercial Bus
The Micro Bird D-Series Propane commercial bus combines the capacity, passenger comfort and durable construction of the D-Series with near-zero-emission propane performance. Built on a Ford E-450 chassis with seating for up to 28 passengers, the D-Series Propane is well suited for airport and parking shuttles, hotels and resorts, assisted living communities, universities, churches and healthcare organizations.
Powered by a Ford 7.3L V8 engine with the ROUSH CleanTech Gen5 propane fuel system, the D-Series Propane delivers horsepower and torque comparable to its gas-powered equivalent while reducing NOx emissions to below 0.05 g/bhp-hr. Cleaner combustion can also help reduce maintenance requirements and operating costs over time.
Built for demanding commercial operations, the D-Series Propane features six longitudinal structural beams, one-piece galvanized steel roof bows and galvanized steel side-impact barriers. A spacious 93-inch interior width, Micro Bird's More-View™ window design, flexible seating configurations and available ADA-compliant wheelchair lifts provide passenger comfort, visibility and accessibility for a variety of transportation needs.
