Collins Childcare Bus
The Collins Childcare Bus is designed with school bus safety standards to help protect its youngest passengers while giving childcare providers confidence on every trip. With versatile seating configurations, enhanced driver visibility and a compact design, the Collins Childcare Bus is built to meet the unique transportation needs of daycare centers, preschools and other childcare programs.
Available on a single-rear-wheel Chevrolet or Ford Transit chassis, the Collins Childcare Bus offers seating for up to 14 passengers with optional storage. Chevrolet models feature a 4.3L V6 gas engine paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission with overdrive, while Ford Transit models feature a 3.5L V6 gas engine and 10-speed automatic transmission with overdrive.
A center aisle supports convenient passenger loading and unloading, while high-visibility windows help eliminate blind spots and enhance driver visibility. Available 3-point seats, integrated child restraint seats and activity seats provide added flexibility, while one-piece tubular steel roof bows provide school bus rollover protection for added confidence on every journey.
