The 2027 Peterbilt 548 Water Truck is engineered to deliver dependable performance for municipal, construction, dust control, and site-support applications. Powered by a PACCAR PX-9 diesel engine rated at 350 horsepower and paired with a 6-speed Allison automatic transmission, this truck provides the power, reliability, and efficiency needed for demanding daily operations. Mounted on the chassis is a professionally installed 4,000-gallon water tank system, constructed with 3/16-inch steel tank skins, dual welded baffles, and heavy-duty spring-mounted tank supports for durability and stability. The tank includes three 24" x 24" top manholes, a ladder for easy access, hydrant fill capability with a 2½-inch camlock fitting, and a rear-mounted sight gauge for convenient water level monitoring. The robust design makes it ideal for dust suppression, road maintenance, construction sites, landscaping operations, and municipal water distribution projects.
The integrated water delivery system features a 750 GPM 4" x 3" water pump, hot-shift PTO operation, and a complete manifold package with six air-operated control valves. Standard spray equipment includes a front spray bar, adjustable side sprays, front and rear splash sprays, and in-cab controls that allow operators to efficiently manage water flow from the driver's seat. Additional features include pond drafting and suction capabilities, a hydrant fill hose package, hose reel with 50-foot hose and nozzle, heavy-duty fenders, mud flaps, LED lighting, backup alarm, and rear stinger storage compartment.
