Micro Bird G5 Propane Multi-Function School Activity Bus
The Micro Bird G5 Propane Multi-Function School Activity Bus (MFSAB) combines the proven safety, durability and versatility of the G5 platform with near-zero-emission propane performance. Designed for transportation beyond traditional school routes, the G5 Propane MFSAB accommodates up to 30 passengers or five wheelchair positions, providing a flexible option for schools, childcare providers and other organizations.
Powered by a Ford 7.3L V8 engine with the ROUSH CleanTech Gen5 propane fuel system, the G5 Propane MFSAB delivers 350 horsepower and torque comparable to its gas-powered equivalent with no performance trade-off. The system is CARB certified to 0.05 g/bhp-hr NOx — 75% below the federal U.S. emissions standard.
The G5 Propane MFSAB features Micro Bird's More-View™ panoramic design, a fully glazed entrance door and heavy-gauge galvanized steel side-impact barriers. ADA-compliant wheelchair lifts from Braun and Ricon, Micro Bird-exclusive dual lift doors and securement anchorage options provide flexibility for passengers with mobility needs.
Micro Bird MFSABs meet all FMVSS requirements for school buses except those requiring school bus traffic control devices, including flashing lights and stop arms.
