The Micro Bird D-Series Electric commercial bus brings the passenger comfort, durable construction and versatility of the D-Series to a zero-emission platform. Built on a Ford E-450 chassis with seating for up to 21 passengers, the D-Series Electric offers up to 200 miles of range, making it a versatile option for airport and parking shuttles, hotels and resorts, assisted living communities, universities, churches and healthcare organizations.
Powered by a 335-hp direct-drive motor with 140 kWh or 175 kWh LFP battery options, the D-Series Electric supports Level 2 and Level 3 DC fast charging. Regenerative braking helps extend range and reduce brake wear, while Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) capability and smart telematics provide additional tools for managing fleet operations and energy use.
The D-Series Electric combines a spacious 93-inch interior width with flexible seating configurations and available ADA-compliant accessibility options. Its proven D-Series construction includes six longitudinal structural beams, one-piece galvanized steel roof bows and galvanized steel side-impact barriers for long-term durability.
